On today's radar,
Yesterday I spoke about Bon Iver's live session at AIR Studios. Today, I'll be talking about the Buffalo Philharmonic's tribute to Pink Floyd.
Buffalo Philharmonic's Tribute to Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd is a rock band that is widely recognized as being one of the most influential groups of all time. Not only have they achieved commercial success through album sales (over 250 million), they have touched the hearts and minds of people world wide and have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Even though the band has not reunited since 2005 their music is still celebrated by tribute bands. One such event is the Music of Pink Floyd in which Brent Havens and Randy Jackson are accompanied by the Buffalo Philharmonic. The performance also includes a laser light show in which, “Kleinhans transforms into the UFO Club in London.”
The show is scheduled for Friday, March 16 at 8 p.m. and tickets range from $31 to $75. For more information or to order tickets visit bpo.org.
