For the seventh year in a row, Holy Trinity Church will present the Stations of the Cross from a Contemporary Perspective (formerly called Teen Stations of the Cross). This inspiring event combines shadow drama, a live monologue and contemporary music to create a spiritually moving presentation of Christ’s last days leading up to His crucifixion.
Witness the presentation of each of the stations in shadow drama by Holy Trinity’s eighth grade religion class, followed by a present-day reflection and prayer relevant to the theme of each station. One of 16 contemporary songs by artists such as Josh Groban, Avril Lavigne, Billy Joel, Michelle Branch, Sarah McLaughlin and Eric Clapton is related to each station and performed live by area musicians and vocalists following each reflection.
This collaborative event is performed by teenagers and adults from the area including Fredonia Middle and High Schools, Dunkirk Middle and High Schools and SUNY Fredonia.
Christians of all ages and faiths are welcome and encouraged to attend this free Lenten event at 7 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2010, at Holy Trinity Church, 1032 Central Avenue, Dunkirk.
