Another beautiful weekend has passed by, and it's back to the daily grind for most of the county. But what about those who still work over the weekend?
At one of my college jobs, I remember working Friday through Monday. Tuesday was my Monday, and Monday was my Friday. It was confusing, but that's what college is for right?
What I'm getting at is this- for those hard working folks who still make the world spin on the weekend, there is still something to do during the week on your days off.
There are plenty of great grassroots local organizations that you can find in your hometown to take part in. These groups often meet during the week, and generally consist of a core group of individuals that strive to make their cause known in the area. Find something important to you- get out and get involved!
Through much of my blogging, I've realized something. I'm not one to advocate just sitting around doing nothing. I've got causes that are very important to me, and I pour my heart and soul into them. Find something important to you, and put energy into it. Make sure it's something worthwhile; something you can be proud of and something that matters in the long run. If you can't find anything, then make something up! The point is- there is always something to do, we just have to look a little harder sometimes to make it happen!
