Digital Radiology Open House at Brooks

Hospital staff and community members gathered in the Radiology Department at Brooks Memorial Hospital to check out the facilities new Digital Radiology Room. Fitted with a brand new GE Discovery XR650 Digital Radiology System, this new room will provide the community with the most advanced X-ray technology currently available.

Brooks Memorial Hospital Radiologist and Chairman of the Radiology Department Dr. Jon Muntz is very pleased to have the new system available at Brooks. “This new digital room is the finest in Western New York and one of the first in the region. Commented Muntz. “It provides significantly lower radiation exposure to patients and improves and speeds patient care. It also facilitates immediate transfer of the images to the radiologist for reading and access by health care professionals.” Benefits also include adjustable table height, a completely mobile imaging sensor and automatic positioning of the equipment.
