CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY, NY -- Winter means fun and fresh air for the Chautauqua County Hiking Club.
Come out and join Tom Meara on a snowshoe hike at the southern end of the Westside Overland trail on Saturday, Feb 11. Meet at 10:00 a.m. at the parking area on 474 just west of Panama. From there, we will shuttle cars to the southern-most point of the trail on Townline Road and hike back to the parking lot.
This scenic section of the trail goes through a large area of NYS Reforestation area. The total distance will be about 4.75 miles.
Dress for the weather conditions and bring a lunch and water.
This would be a nice event even if you are a beginner.
Please contact Tom at his email address for more info: tmeara@stny.rr.com.
Details and times for all of the club outings are displayed as they become available on the club’s website www.chautauquahikes.com and on Facebook. Please look at the future events page. There are events coordinated with the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy listed also.
