"A Stir of Artists" Fine Art Show Coming to Bemus Point

A "Stir of Artists" Art Show and Sale will take place on July 12-13 and on August 6-7, 2011 at the Bemus Point Town Park. (Subm. photo)

BEMUS POINT, NY — "A Stir of Artists" Fine Art Show comes to Bemus Point, NY on July 16 and 17 from 11am to 6pm at the Village Park located on Lakeside Drive.

This is the second year for this outdoor show featuring 25 fine artists and artisans from Northwestern Pa and Southwestern NY.

Parking and admission is free.

From the Western New York area, participating artists' media and hometown include Marilyn Johnson who works with watercolor, Butch Poole with abstract nature photography and watercolor artist, Barbara Lissfelt — all of Jamestown, NY. 

Oil painter, Barney Kuzara is from Dunkirk, and mixed media artist, Daniel Marchini is from Celoron. From Maple Springs we have Tom McCrady, portrait artist, and acrylic painter, Judith Whittaker is from Frewsburg. Sara Skillman, watercolorist and fiber artist is from Dewittville. 

Also featured are the photography of Suzette Paduano and graphite paintings from Jerry Paduano of Panama. Bill Smith of Cherry Creek will display his photography.  From Forestville we have Patrick DelMonte with wooden bowls and vessels and Dale Anderson will be displaying sculpture. 

There will be jewelry maker, Susan Hach-Murphy from Fredonia and Marie Lewis showing beach glass jewelry from Bemus Point. Also from Bemus is Bruce Johnson with handmade cutting boards.

Artists from Northwestern Pennsylvania include watercolorist Dee Ellen Smith from Bradford.  Warren, PA is represented by Linda Mason with lampwork and wearable art, Debbie Moyer with jewelry and Marian Aranyos with watercolor and collage. From Kane, PA are Dennis Galvin with wood and liturgical furnishings and Jack Northrop showing woodturnings. Patty Prechtl from St. Mary's, PA works in acrylic and watercolor.

Come out to the beautiful resort town of Bemus Point on Chautauqua Lake to meet the artists and see their varied fine works of art. All art work will be for sale.

The town park is centrally located in the village of  Bemus Point which also offers a variety of restaurants and eateries for dining.

This event will be held rain or shine and a second weekend show will be at the same location on August 6 and 7.
